Tea Tree

The Magic of Tea Tree

The healing properties of Tea Tree oil have been recognised for thousands of years. The indigenous Bundjalung people of Eastern Australia were known to have used tea tree as traditional medicine, inhaling the oil from crushed leaves to treat minor illness and applying the leaves onto wounds. They were also observed brewing the leaves into a tea – how Tea Tree got its name.

Today, Tea Tree is widely accepted as having antibacterial, antifungal, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties. Some of the most common applications for Tea Tree oil include:

- Natural sanitiser for hands and surfaces in the home
- Treatment of minor cuts and wounds
- Anti-fungal treatment
- Insect repellent
- Acne treatment
-  Treatment of head lice
-  Treatment of dandruff
-  Alleviates psoriasis
- Relieves symptoms of cold and flu
